Your Life, More Yours
Your vision-and-value email
Practical wisdom for significant lifelong growth and deeper human connection.
Your Life, More Yours brings you stories, practical tips, and advancement education for a lifetime of ongoing personal growth, deeper friendships, and a life that genuinely belongs to you.
I’m Diane Carroll, aka MaverickDiane, founder of Synona™ for Lifetime Development. I share what I’ve lived and learned, along with questions and practices you can use to understand yourself more deeply and put that understanding to work.
Some of what I’ll write about:
● Hearing your maverick center (your internal guidance) and recognizing what matters to you.
● Telling your own wishes apart from expectations you’ve absorbed.
● Turning an idea you keep postponing into a next step you can take.
● Building self-trust and moving forward with uncertainty.
● Becoming a practical visionary by imagining a future you want and translating that vision into grounded choices, experiments and safer action.
● Discovering what is enough for you and making room for joy.
● Building deeper friendships in which you can be known, supported, and fully yourself.
● Practicing unconditional love safer while respecting another person’s choices.
● Using what your life has taught you to help someone else move forward.
● Understanding the patterns that shape your choices and deciding which ones still serve you.
● Making peace with your past without letting it dictate your future.
● Learning to receive care, encouragement, opportunity, and love without minimizing your needs.
● Having difficult conversations with honesty, courage, and respect.
● Repairing relationships when trust has been strained or harm has occurred.
● Recognizing the difference between solitude and isolation and creating the kind of connection you actually need.
● Finding and becoming the kind of friend who makes greater honesty and aliveness possible.
● Letting love change you without losing your identity, boundaries, or freedom.
● Choosing relationships that can grow with you rather than requiring you to remain who you once were.
● Making meaningful progress when motivation is inconsistent and the path is unclear.
● Creating a life that reflects your values in ordinary decisions, not only dramatic ones.
● Using attention deliberately so your time and energy go toward what matters most.
● Recovering from disappointment and allowing it to teach you without hardening you.
● Becoming more comfortable with change, including changes you did not choose.
● Developing a more generous relationship with yourself while remaining accountable for your actions.
● Finding purpose in contribution, whether through work, friendship, family, creativity, or service.
● Staying curious about other people without abandoning your own perspective.
● Growing older with intention, carrying forward what is essential and releasing what is not.
● Making room for spiritual guidance as a quiet source of reflection, meaning, and direction, whatever your beliefs.
This is Lifetime Development: learning from the life you are living and using that learning to shape what comes next.
